　What’s the weather like in Beijing? 教学设计

　 第 四 课时 Consonants + Unit task

　1 1 ．教学内容 本课时包括 Phonetics review (consonants)及 Unit task 部分，具体训练内容为：辅音：/h/ /r/ /l/ /tr/ /dr/,以及向他人介绍某地的天气情况。

　2 2 ．教学重点、难点 教学重点：上述音标的准确发音； 上述音标与元音/ei/ /ai/ / ɔɪ / /au/ 组合后的单词发音； 教学难点：利用本单元所学知识向他人介绍某地的天气。

　3. 教学目标 知识目标: :

　通过模仿、辨别进一步熟悉音标中辅音：/h/ /r/ /l/ /tr/ /dr/的正确发音及与元音/ei/ /ai/ / ɔɪ / /au/ 组合后的单词发音； 能力目标: : 正确跟读上述音标、单词及相关绕口令。

　4. 教学步骤

　 Step I

　Revision and introduction Make a brief revision about the vowels /ei/ /ai/ / ɔɪ / /au/ that we learned in last section, and introduce the pronunciation /h/ /r/ /l/ /tr/ /dr/ that will appear in this class.. Step II

　Practice on Consonants:

　/h/ /r/ /l/ /tr/ /dr/

　Activity 26 1. Read aloud. Ss read all the words listed here. 2. Listen and choose according to the pronunciation. (individual work)

　3. Ask the Ss to write down more words with the pronunciation /h/ /r/ /l/ /tr/ /dr/. （设计意图：让学生对各字母 及组合 的发音有个重新的认识与纠正。）

　Activity 27 1. Listen and circle (individual work), and then the teacher checks the answers. 2. Ss read aloud both 2 words of each sentence and then read the proper sentence they hear. ( 设计意图：

　让学生对相近读音单词作出辨别，并根据录音强化各单词发音 。) Activity 28 1. Listen and read. Ss listen to the 4 tongue twisters and follow to read again and again. 2. Repeat. Ss repeat the twisters, at first they would be slower, but try to be quicker some time later. *3. The teacher could check the Ss by several ways, such as group competition, tongue twister relay race, etc.

　Unit task

　Choose the best weather reporter. 1. Make a list of words that can be used to describe the weather.

　sunny, rainy, windy, cloudy, snowy, foggy, cool, cold, warm, hot, fine, nice, dry, wet, humid( 潮湿的) 2. Work in groups and discuss to prepare a weather report of Ss’ hometown. 3. Fill the above weather information into the form. 4. Practice within groups and then choose one member from each group to do the report in class.

　Further practice

　Ask the Ss to report more weather conditions of different places to the rest of the class, so that all of them could get a better understanding of everyone’s hometown.

　 教学反思 本单元要求学生能够听懂天气预报及对各种不同天气的描述；并且能够学会用适当的方式描述天气；同时掌握中国人与英美国家的人们表达天气的不同习惯。因此本单元的教学注重生活场景的真实性，既操练单元教学要求，又将文化意识巧妙地融入交际中。同时，各种不同的生活背景（各自家乡的天气状况）的出现使得任务更加真实可信，且易于完成。本单元整体设计贴近生活，学生参与性强，有助于培养其英语学习的积极思维。
